SAP2000 Interface

SAP2000 interface: Problem type SAP2000.gid permit to define the model to analyze inside GiD and transfer the data to SAP2000, where the analysis is performed. The type of analysis that can be done is linear elastic. Resulst are converted back to be shown in GiD postprocess. Click here for download and installation instructions

SEMBA

SEMBA is a framework envisaged for simulations in the field of EMC. EMC problems have important challenges from a simulation point of view: results need to be obtained for large bandwidths or transient responses, usually involving extremely complex geometries. SEMBA contains the necessary tools to manage the whole simulation chain for an EMC problem. For

Full screen

GiD can be used in full screen mode. In this mode the top menu and the toolbars are not showed and GiD fits with the size of your screen. Full screen is interesting when you are working with 3D stereoscopic view because you get a better immersion. This option can be activated both in preprocess and

How to create child layers

A geometric representation is composed of four types of entities, namely points, lines, surfaces, and volumes. A layer is a grouping of entities. Defining layers in computer-aided design allows us to work collectively with all the entities in one layer. You can create a layer inside another one, this new layer is called “child” layer.

Join volumes

It’s possible to merge volumes without losing attached data. With this option two or more volumes connected by shared surfaces are joined in a single one. That option avoids deleting manually the shared surfaces and selecting the new boundary. Go to Geometry->Edit->Join->Volumes in the top menu and select all the volumes that you want to join.
