Official versions of GiD are stable versions of the program. They don’t include the newest capabilities but they have passed all the validation tests.
This version of GiD works on macOS 10.15 Catalina and newer. Other versions for older Mac OS X operating systems are available here (Mavericks) or here (older).

Note for macOS 10.15 Catalina or newer: The first time you open GiD, macOS will display a message about opening an application from an unidentified developer. Just dismiss this window and Control+Click ( or Right-Click) the application and select ‘open’. Now the window will show an ‘Open’ button to launch GiD.
Note for USB licences and macOS 10.15 Catalina or newer: The first time the USB memory key is mounted in macOS, for GiD to detect it, you need to access (open or try to save a project or snapshot in) this USB memory key from within GiD. This is due to more restrictive permissions in macOS Catalina or newer.
Note: this version supports macOS 14 Sonoma.
