Developer versions of GiD are more modern versions of the program that have new capabilities. They have not passed the validation tests that a official version does. So, use them with care. Only download and install one of these versions if you know of a new capability very important for your needs or if you want to try the new improvements in the program.
This version of GiD works on macOS 12.7 Monterey and newer. Other versions for older Mac OS X operating systems are available here.

Note: The first time you open GiD, macOS will display a message about opening an application from an unidentified developer. Just dismiss this window and Control+Click ( or Right-Click) the application and select ‘open’. Now the window will show an ‘Open’ button to launch GiD.
Note for USB licences: The first time the USB memory key is mounted in macOS, for GiD to detect it, you need to access (open or try to save a project or snapshot in) this USB memory key from within GiD. This is due to more restrictive permissions in macOS Catalina or newer.
Note: this version supports macOS 14 Sonoma, 12 Ventura and 11 Monterey.
